Stanley R. Olsztyn, M.D. (H.), P.C. I received my medical degree in 1959. The remarkable
advancements in medicine over the past forty years could not then be
imagined. Medical technology has an impressive history, but it is sobering
to realize that many of the diseases we thought would be eliminated by the
turn of the century are now more prevalent than ever.
Degenerative diseases, cancer, heart disease and
infections continue to rise while our
traditional medical system is at its peak in performance. Infectious
disease, once thought totally controllable, is now the third leading cause
of death and the leading cause of illness. In 1979, the realization that synthetic drugs do not
always work became painfully evident in my own family. My wife had
contracted a staphylococcal sinus infection that only worsened over time
as she took course after course of antibiotics. My infant son also had
recurring ear and throat infections that responded less and less to ever more potent
antibiotics. With all the modern miracles of medicine, how is it
that so many people succumb to so many common, uncontrolled infections? I
was shaken when I realized that antibiotics and other synthetic drugs were
in themselves often stopping the body from natural recovery. I believe
that healing comes from the ability of the body to use its inherent power
to function normally. The human immune system has the ability to fight
degenerative disease, cancer, heart disease and infectious disease. When
the immune system takes-up the fight and wins, we emerge stronger and more
prepared to meet future challenges.
I was drawn to a quest that continues even now. I
began a search for natural alternatives to antibiotics and other drugs
that would help the body function in the way it was designed to function.
I consulted my old research notes from medical school, called former
professors and contacted immunologists and bacteriologists. I began
developing means and techniques for supporting the body's powerful, innate
defense systems rather than replacing them with synthetic substitutes.

I have seen thousands of patients in my practice who
came to me with the same feeling of desperation and hopelessness that I
