Herbs feed, they regulate organs and
glands, they cleanse the cells. Herbs are very high in vitamins and

SCIENTIFIC MEDICINE:
Criticism is often directed towards alternative
methods and products claiming that they are not scientific. It is used as
an argument of invalidation even with treatments and products that have
much empirical or evidence-based data.
The Office of Technology Assessments, OTA, is a
research branch department for the US Congress assisted by an advisory
board of eminent university faculty. The office published a report with
the conclusion that "only 10-20% of all medical procedures
currently used in medical practice have been shown efficacious by
controlled trial."
"Only 15% of medical interventions are supported by solid
scientific evidence. Only 1% of the articles in medical journals are
scientifically sound" - Dr. David Eddy, Duke University-British
Medical Journal.
Many accepted treatments are not supported by clinical trial
but handed down from generation to generation in medical journals and
textbooks. Does this mean that the other 80-90% of medical
treatment is ineffective and should be discontinued because there is no
"scientific" evidence for its use? Of course not! A procedure is valid if
it works!
Even though drugs have saved millions of lives there
are some serious side effects with many medications.
JAMA 4/15/98 - l994 statistics show that ADR's (adverse drug
reactions) in US hospitals may be responsible for more than 100,000 deaths
making it estimated to the fourth leading cause of death in the United
States. 2,216,000 hospital patients experienced a serious ADR.
Serious ADR is defined as one requiring hospitalization, prolonging
hospitalization, or one that is permanently disabling or results in death.
